Everyday, the Visiting Hours is as stated above. Children below 12 years old, who are close relative of the patients, are allowed to make a visit at the specified hours. Parents are to supervise their children so as not to make undue noise that will disturb other patients.

For a critically ill patient, a special pass can be issued for accompanying relative at the disretion of the ward sister.

During non-visiting hours, if a visitor needs to meet with a patient urgently, a special pass for a 15 minutes visit can be obtained from the security guard at Entrance C.  To get this pass, a visitor needs to leave an identification card with the security guard.

Public Facilities

There are several public facilities available within the hospital premises.

  1. Public cafeteria located next to the Out-patient Department,
  2. Post Office,
  3. Banking facilities (National Saving Bank) ATM machines (Bank Bumiputra Commerce, Maybank Kawan Ku, GIRO), located next to the cafeteria on the ground floor of the Main Block,
  4. Amenity shops are on the ground floor, near the main entrance of the Main Block and the Maternity Hospital,
  5. Florist and Fruit stall near the Main Block entrance,
  6. Public telephones are available at every block, and
  7. Plenty of Public Parking available free of charge.

What is strictly forbidden in hospital premises?

  1. Smoking will be fined up to RM 2,000, according to Tobacco Ordinance (amendment) 95
  2. Using of cellular phone/hand phone. Switch off the phone especially at restricted premises.
  3. Parking at no-parking area. HKL is not liable if the traffic police enforce law on any car.
  4. Visiting during non-visiting hours. If any family members need to attend to any patient who is critically ill, a special pass can be obtained from the Nursing Sister in-charge of the ward where the patient is warded.
  5. Vandalizing of public property.
