Radiology is one of the clinical support departments in Kuala Lumpur Hospital. The department provides a wide range of diagnostic and interventional services using a variety of latest technology equipment.


The Department comprises of a main department with 6 satellite units located in: 

1. Emergency and Trauma Department

2. Specialist Complex and Ambulatory Care Centre (SCACC)

3. IKTAR (Institut Kajisaraf Tunku Abdul Rahman)

4. Institute Oncology and Radiotheraphy

5. Wisma Rekod

6. Institute Urology and Nephrology

Services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients.                                            


Various category of staff are involved in the running of the department.

To provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services of international standard using the latest technology by committed, professional and caring staff.

To achieve all the above objectives, the staff have to:

As a department that prioritizes patient health and comfort, we promise to provide


  • Appointment for Special Radiological Examination shall be given within 30 minutes.
  • General Radiographic Examination will be completed within 60 minutes. (If there is no action after 45 minutes from registration, please contact the liaison officer on duty.)
  • Radiology reports shall be completed the same day for urgent cases and within fourteen (14) days for outpatients.
  • For clients who are defined as emergency, the requesting doctor will be informed of the radiological imaging findings as soon as possible for immediate or prompt treatment by the requesting team.

We provide both inpatient and outpatient radiology services.


Monday to Friday

7.30 am to 5:00 pm

Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays


On-call services are provided 24 hours for urgent and emergency cases.

* On the day of the examination, the staggered appointment system will be followed. However, priority will be given to urgent, ill patients, OKU and elderly patients.
