SENARAI ANGGOTA UNIT PSIKOLOGI KAUNSELING

PENGENALAN
Perkhidmatan kaunseling mula dilaksanakan oleh Kaunselor pada 16 Oktober 1993 di Jabatan Psikiatri, HKL untuk pesakit-pesakit psikiatri dan keluarga mereka.
Unit Psikologi Kaunseling (UPsK), Hospital Kuala Lumpur telah ditubuhkan di bawah Pengurusan Hospital pada 14 Mei 2001. Ini adalah berdasarkan kepada perkhidmatan kaunseling yang diberi kepada 2 kategori klien iaitu, kakitangan hospital mengikut SPP Bil.4 /1998 & PP Bil.1/1999; dan pesakit. Justeru itu, perkhidmatan psikologi kaunseling yang ditawarkan oleh Unit Psikologi Kaunseling telah diperluaskan kepada seluruh pelanggan Hospital Kuala Lumpur bagi memenuhi peningkatan permintaan semasa terhadap masalah psikososial dan emosi.

INTRODUCTION
The first counseling services executed by a professional counselor was in October 16th, 1993 at the Department of Psychiatry, HKL. These services mainly provide counseling for psychiatric patients who are referred and their families. Unit of Counseling Psychology (UPsK), Hospital Kuala Lumpur was established under the Hospital Management on May 14, 2001. This is based on counseling services provided to two categories of clients, that are, the hospital staff, according to SPP No. 4 / 1998 & PP Bil.1/1999 and patients. As a result, the psychological counseling services offered by UPsK were expanded to all customers in Hospital Kuala Lumpur to meet current demand for psychosocial and emotional problems.

UPsK menjadi pusat kecemerlangan dalam perkhidmatan kaunseling dan psikologi yang memberi perkhidmatan profesional yang mengutamakan pelanggan.

UPsK will be a centre of excellence in counseling and psychological services emphasizing on professional customer-focused services.


MISI
UPsK akan menyediakan perkhidmatan kaunseling dan psikologi ke arah kesejahteraan kesihatan mental dan emosi yang:
• Responsif dan prihatin kepada pelanggan;
• Dilaksanakan oleh pegawai psikologi yang terlatih dan profesional;
• Dilaksanakan melalui intervensi terkini dan berfokuskan pendekatan kemanusian;
• Mengendalikan penyelidikan mengenai perkhidmatan kaunseling dan psikologi.

MISSION
UPsK will provide counseling and psychological services on mental health and emotional well-being to clients that:
• Are responsive and attentive,
• Are professional and performed by a trained psychology officer,
• will implement the latest interventions and focuses on humanity approaches;
• will be improved by conducting research on counseling and psychological services that has been provided by the unit.


APA ITU KAUNSELING?
Kaunseling merupakan satu proses pertolongan berstruktur yang dikendalikan oleh Kaunselor melalui pendekatan psikologi kepada klien. Kaunselor mempermudahkan, membimbing, memberi sokongan serta dorongan kepada klien ke arah celik akal supaya klien boleh membuat keputusan dalam menyelesaikan masalah atau kerumitan yang dihadapi.

WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counseling is a structured helping process, conducted by a counselor that uses humanistic psychological approach to assist the client. Counselors facilitate, guide, give support, and encourage clients to get insight so that the client can make decisions to solve their own problems and cope with their difficulties.


OBJEKTIF
• Membimbing klien serta keluarga ke arah menerima keadaan mereka seadanya dari aspek emosi;
• Membimbing klien serta keluarganya ke arah celik akal;
• Membantu klien serta keluarganya membina strategi daya tindak mengikut kemampuan masing-masing.

OBJECTIVE
• To assist clients and families to accept themselves emotionally and psychologically;
• To assist clients and their families towards insight;
• To assist clients and their families in constructing appropriate coping strategies with in their capabilities.

WAKTU KLINIK BEROPERASI

• Klinik kaunseling beroperasi empat (4) hari seminggu iaitu pada hari Isnin, Selasa, Rabu dan Khamis.
• Waktu klinik beroperasi dari jam 8.00 pagi hingga 5.00 petang. (Isnin hingga Khamis Sahaja)

CLINIC’S OPERATION TIMES
• The counselling clinic operates on only four (4) days of the week which are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
• The clinic’s operation times are from 8.00AM to 5.00PM (Mondays to Thursdays Only)

PERKHIDMATAN KAUNSELING PSIKOLOGI :

APLIKASI PSIKOLOGI DALAM INTERVENSI
Bertujuan membimbing dan mempermudahkan klien (pesakit dan kakitangan) mengurus masalah secara lebih berkesan melalui sesi :-

PSYCHOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN INTERVENTION
Aimed to guide and facilitate clients (patients and staff) to manage their challenges/problems more effectively through sessions: -

i. Kaunseling Individu
• mengambil masa empat puluh lima (45) minit ke enam puluh (60) minit.
• melibatkan hubungan bersemuka antara dua individu (pegawai psikologi dan klien) di mana pegawai psikologi memudah cara penerokaan dan  penyelesaikan isu personal yang dialami oleh klien.

Individual Counselling
•    time taken up will be around forty-five (45) minutes to sixty (60) minutes.
•    involves a face to face interaction between two individuals (the psychological officer and the client) where the psychological officer facilitates the exploration and resolution of personal issues that are experienced by the client.


ii. Kaunseling Keluarga
• Ialah satu intervensi di mana pegawai psikologi membantu dan membimbing ahli keluarga ke arah mencari dan seterusnya menerima keadaan mereka bagi menyelesaikan konflik yang dihadapi secara produktif serta memperbaiki perhubungan di antara ahli keluarga.

Family Counselling
•    An intervention where the psychological officer helps and coaches members of the family to realize, and consequently, accept the situation that they are in to resolve the conflict that they experience in a productive manner as well as to mend the relationship between family members.

iii. Intervensi Krisis
• adalah proses merawat individu yang telah mengalami bencana, peristiwa tragik, atau traumatik. Contoh: rogol, cubaan bunuh diri, mengandung luar nikah, penderaan, dan acute stress disebabkan bencana.

Crisis Intervention
•    Is a process that treats an individual who experienced a disaster, or a tragic or traumatic experience. Examples: rape, attempted suicide, out of wedlock pregnancy, abuse, and acute stress due to a disaster.

iv. Kaunseling Kelompok
• mengambil masa sembilan puluh (90) minit hingga seratus dua puluh (120) minit.
• melibatkan antara lima hingga lebih individu. Pegawai Psikologi mengunakan kemahiran kaunseling yang teraputik untuk mempermudah cara pemahaman kendiri dan menggalakkan perubahan tingkah laku individu.
• Antara aktiviti yang di jalankan adalah seperti Kelompok Bimbingan, Kelompok Psikososial Pendidikan ,Kelompok Sokong Bantu , Kelompok Metadhone dan Kelompok Quit Smoking

Group Counselling
•    time taken up is ninety (90) minutes to one hundred and twenty (120) minutes.
•    involves a minimum of five individuals. The Psychological Officer will use therapeutic counselling skills to facilitate an understanding of self     and encourage a change in individual behaviour.

v. Terapi Relaksasi
• dijalankan kepada klien yang mengalami tekanan emosi dan psikologi.
• melatih klien menggunakan teknik relaksasi secara sistematik. Contoh: kesukaran mengawal panas baran, mengalami masalah neurotik dan kebimbangan.

Relaxation Therapy
•    conducted on clients who experiences emotional and psychological stress.
•    train clients to systematically use recreational techniques. Examples: difficulty in managing anger, experiences neurotic and anxiety issues.


vi. Kemahiran Keibubapaan (Parenting Skill)
• Sesi untuk memberi kemahiran kepada ibu bapa yang menghadapi kesukaran dalam mendidik, menguruskan dan mengendalikan tingkah laku anak-anak

Parenting Skill
•    to provide skills for parents who faces challenges in teaching, managing and handling their children’s behavior.

APLIKASI PSIKOLOGI DALAM PENILAIAN KLIEN
Bertujuan membantu klien memahami personaliti, emosi, sikap, minat dan potensi diri dengan menggunakan ujian psikologi. Aplikasi ini digunakan semasa sesi kaunseling, bengkel, Program Pembelajaran Berterusan [CPD], urusan pemilihan dan penempatan

PSYCHOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS IN CLIENTELE ASSESSMENT
Aims to help clients understand their personality, emotions, attitudes, interests and self-potential by using psychological tests. This application is used during counseling sessions, workshops, Continuous Professional Development Programs [CPD], selection, and placement.


APLIKASI PSIKOLOGI DALAM PEMBANGUNAN PERSONEL
Bertujuan mewujudkan staf HKL yang memiliki nilai dan etika kerja serta sikap yang positif melalui Program Bembelajaran Berterusan [CPD].

APPLICATIONS PSYCHOLOGY IN PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT
Aims to enhance excellent work values, work culture, as well as work ethics, and inculcate positive attitude to staff of HKL through Continuous Professional Development Programs [CPD].

APLIKASI PENYELIDIKAN PSIKOLOGI
Satu kaedah bagi mendapat input dan maklumat dengan menjalankan kajian berkaitan dengan perkhidmatan kaunseling psikologi. Ini akan digunakan untuk penambahbaikan perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan oleh UPsK, HKL.

Bermula tahun 2015 Unit Psikologi kaunseling telah menjalankan penyelidikan Profiling Personaliti Tajma  bagi mengenalpasti trait personaliti di kalangan 700 orang jururawat yang bertugas di wad dan 350 di kalangan polis bantuan di Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

APPLICATIONS FOR RESEARCH IN PSYCHOLOGY
As a way to gather input and information through research involving counselling psychology services. Findings will be used to help improve services that are offered by UPsK HKL.

Beginning in 2015, the Unit of Counselling Psychology will conduct a Tajma Personality Profiling research to pinpoint personality traits among 700 nurses on duty in the wards and 350 auxiliary police at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
